Pikante on Calle Ezcurdia is Gijón's branch of a Spanish adult shop chain that trades in nine cities. The stock runs to several thousand items across toys, lingerie, bondage gear, lubricants and cosmetics, and the front is a red neon sign you will not walk past without noticing.
Behind the shop floor there are video cabins carrying dozens of channels. They get used for cruising as much as for watching anything, which is the reason a general adult shop turns up in a queer guide to the city at all.
The chain has announced an expansion here into a proper cruising area with glory hole cabins, individual and bed cabins, dark corners and a sling room. That is not open, so what is there today is the shop and the existing cabins.
