Pampezar is the gay sauna in Gijón, on Calle Ceán Bermúdez in the El Llano district, a walk east of the centre. It is men only, and it calls itself the only exclusively gay space in the city.
Inside there is a Finnish sauna and a Turkish steam room, a jacuzzi, private cabins with televisions, a video room, and a maze of darker corridors holding a dark room and glory holes. A bar with wifi covers the social half of a visit. The layout is built for staying: people tend to be there for a couple of hours rather than dropping in.
Themed nights run through the year, blackout parties among them, and the sauna also takes private bookings for birthdays and celebrations.
