Bear Gijón Bar is the bear bar of the Asturian coast, on Calle Capua a few streets back from the marina in the Los Campos part of the centre. The crowd is men, mostly bears, chubs and the people who like them, and the bar makes a point of saying that everyone else is welcome too.
Weekends bring live acts. Drag performances, strip shows, comedy nights, raffles and contests all turn up on the programme. On quieter nights it works as an ordinary neighbourhood bar where people talk over a drink and the music stays low enough for it.
It calls itself the place where hair is the law and the fun has no limits, which is a fair summary of the tone.
