About

Gaytafe LGBTI+ is the LGBTI+ association of Getafe, in the south of the Madrid region. It calls itself secular and non-partisan, and says it was founded to turn the town into a place free of hatred and discrimination over sexual orientation and gender identity.

The work is advocacy and visibility rather than a bar or a drop-in centre. Workshops, roundtables, and a programme on the town's community radio station. When the LGBTI mural outside the Juan de la Cierva sports complex was vandalised, the association took on its restoration, and said it would carry on fighting for a Getafe where everyone fits.

The listed address is where the association is registered, so contact goes by email rather than by turning up. Anyone wanting counselling, legal advice or testing will be better served by the town council's own LGBTIQ+ service at the municipal health centre.
