The Consulta de Diversidad Sexual is Getafe's own LGBTIQ+ service, run by the town council from the first floor of the Centro Municipal de Salud Doctor Luis Montes on Plaza Alcalde Juan de Vergara. It started in September 2024.
The team is multidisciplinary, covering social mediation, equality work, psychology, legal advice, sexual health and addiction support. What it does is concrete. Rapid HIV and syphilis testing, accompaniment through an early HIV diagnosis and referral for antiretroviral treatment, healthcare for trans people, and help for people without papers. There is also support for anyone dealing with chemsex.
Alongside the consultations the council puts on monthly workshops on sexual health and diversity, some in person and some online.
An appointment is recommended, by phone or by email. The council calls the service a safe space, and describes its purpose as accompanying people on questions of gender, affection and desire.
