Badulake is a bar and cafe-theatre on Hernani kalea, in Bilbao la Vieja on the south bank of the estuary. It opened in 2000 and has been part of the city's queer nightlife since.
The room is built around a small stage, and drag cabaret is the house speciality. A comedy drag troupe has been performing here for more than a decade. Between the shows the music is pop, Spanish chart hits and eighties tracks.
The crowd is mixed in age and largely gay. Badulake changed hands at the end of 2023 and kept both the name and the cabaret. It is part of the programme during Bilbao's Pride week.
