The Santu Bear is Bilbao's bear bar, on Maiatzaren biko kalea in Bilbao la Vieja, close to the Merced bridge. It is a quieter room than the clubs a few streets away.
It works as a cafe as much as a bar: coffee, a long list of infusions, drinks later on. The bar describes itself as a calm place to sit and talk, and that is what it is. There is a dark room, and an erotic shop attached.
The crowd is bears and their admirers, gay and lesbian mixed, and older than the Barrenkale bars. There are tables outside.
