Manolita La Primera is a small bar on Barrenkale, the Casco Viejo street where most of the old town's queer nightlife sits. It calls itself LGBTIQ+ and friends.
The music leans on Spanish retro and copla, the sort a Basque crowd sings along to, mixed with pop. Themed nights are the pattern: carnival parties, drag bingo, disco and country evenings, each with its own poster.
The same people run Badulake across the river, so the two share performers and audiences. The room is small and fills up at the weekend.
