Lovers is on Carrer dels Quatre Cantons, the street that gives the Benidorm gay village its other name. It calls itself a meeting point for gay men and for the wider LGTBI+ community, and the room is laid out for that: a bar, a small dance floor and standing space between them.
There is dancing, and quiz nights are part of the programme. Cocktails are the main trade. The crowd is more evenly split between Spanish and British customers than in most of the surrounding bars, and the bar runs in both languages.
