Dark Room is a men-only gay bar on Carrer d'Alacant, in the middle of the Benidorm gay village. The name is literal: there is a dark room at the back, and the front is an ordinary bar with a small stage.
The bar makes a point of being for men only and tags itself for bears, so the crowd runs older and hairier than in the show bars a few doors down. Live performances and quiz nights are both part of the week, which means the room shifts between an evening bar and something more direct later on.
It is one of the cruisier addresses in the old town without being a club.
