Brief Encounter is a small bar on Carrer de Santa Fac in Benidorm's old town gay village. It has been part of the scene here for years and also trades under the Spanish name Bar Breve Encuentro.
The music is largely Spanish pop, which sets it apart from the British-leaning bars around it. The crowd mixes locals, Spanish visitors and regulars from the expat community.
The room is tiny. On a busy night people spill out onto the street, which is how most of this village works anyway.
