Puticlú is a small nightclub in Monte Alto, the old fishermen's district on the hill behind the Tower of Hercules. The red neon sign over the door is how you find it.
It is a dance club rather than a drinking bar: one room, a floor, and DJs who move between electronic and pop depending on the night. The music is what regulars talk about first and it is the reason the place has outlasted a lot of its neighbours.
The door is easy and the crowd is mixed. It is one of the handful of rooms in A Coruña that queer people treat as a night out without having to think about it, which in a city with a single openly LGBTQI+ bar counts for something.
