The Marcha LGBTQIA+ walks through Guimarães, the town in the Minho where Portugal's first king was born and whose medieval centre and castle walls are a UNESCO World Heritage site.
It is organised by Marcha do Orgulho de Guimarães, a local group. The march is a public demonstration, so anyone can join on the day.
Guimarães lies about fifty kilometres north east of Porto and is straightforward to reach by train.
