About

Helseutvalget is a foundation that has worked on sexual health for men who have sex with men since 1983. Its Oslo base is on Arbeidersamfunnets plass, with the entrance from Torggata.

The part a visitor is most likely to need is Sjekkpunkt, a drop-in point for rapid testing. HIV and syphilis results come back on the spot, and gonorrhoea and chlamydia can be tested for as well. It is free and anonymous, with no referral and no Norwegian personal number required. Vaccination against mpox is given here too.

The rest of the work is talking and information. 'Sett ord pa det' is a drop-in counselling service for people finding their identity hard going, there is a chat service staffed by young LGBT+ volunteers, and the site carries material on PrEP and on drugs. Testing also runs in Bergen, Trondheim and Stavanger.
