SLM Oslo, Scandinavian Leather Men, is a fetish and BDSM club for gay men. It was founded in 1976 by men who had been to Baltic Battle in Stockholm and the Easter gatherings in Berlin and wanted the same thing at home, and it has been at Nedre Slottsgate near Akershus Fortress since 2009. It calls itself Norway's only fetish club for men.
There is a licensed bar and, in the basement, a dungeon in a room whose walls go back to the seventeenth century. Parties carry a set theme: leather, rubber, uniform, skinhead, workwear, sports kit, fisting, piss, gummi, and nude nights. Valhall is the club's birthday, Red Devil falls at Halloween and Haraball runs during Oslo Pride.
Entry is by membership and the dress code is enforced at the door. Leather, rubber, uniforms without fascist insignia, skinhead gear, workwear, sports kit, harnesses and jockstraps all count. Street clothes, most jeans, dress shoes, sandals, glitter and perfume do not, and phones and cameras stay outside.
The club belongs to Top of Europe, which ties it to the leather clubs in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmo, Aarhus, Estonia and Finland.
