Vinterpride Lillehammer calls itself all of Norway's Winter Pride, and it is the first Pride of the Norwegian year: a week in February in the old Olympic town. It has run every year since 2019 under the slogan "Love Melts Ice".
The week mixes drag shows, bingo, stand-up, talks on queer history, a rainbow church service, film screenings, a café and parties, with a children's day for families. Norwegian pop names have headlined the concerts in past years.
The parade is the centre of it. In recent editions it set off from Fabrikken and walked through the pedestrian streets of the centre, Storgata included, to Pride Park in Søndre Park, where the parade show with artists and speeches follows.
