About this Event
Savona Pride takes the streets of this Ligurian port town, and it is one of the smaller marches on the Italian calendar. It started in 2024 and is put on by the Savona branch of Arcigay, an association that has worked in the city since 2014.
The claim of this edition is Ancoratə ai diritti, anchored to rights, and the anchor is the symbol the organisers picked for it. It is a port town's image and it carries their argument: rights should be solid and immovable rather than concessions that can be handed back.
The political document behind the march is about families, about health, and about the spaces queer people in a small city can actually be themselves in. That last point is the one the organisers keep returning to. Savona is small, and the community here exists and intends to be seen.
