An evening on online abuse aimed at queer people, held in German at Bar jeder Sicht, the queer cultural centre in Mainz. The talk looks at what these attacks look like in practice, from organised campaigns that deny queer identities to targeted harassment of individuals, and at the movements that encourage them.
The second half is an open discussion about ways to defend yourself, how to support people who are targeted and how to make online spaces safer. The evening is run together with the Mainz women's emergency helpline, a specialist service on sexualised violence.
