She said is an independent bookshop for female and queer authors in Berlin-Neukölln, opened in December 2020, with a specialty coffee counter and baristas inside. It calls itself "a bookstore for female and queer authors and a specialty coffee shop."
The curation centres work by women and queer writers, with particular attention to Black, Indigenous and other authors of colour and to voices otherwise underrepresented in publishing. The shop hosts readings, book launches and author talks, kept to one or two events a month and planned well in advance, with programming focused on queer and female authors.
The shop publishes its own code of conduct for customers, setting out awareness and behaviour guidelines for visitors.
