York Pride 2027

05 Jun 2027 | York, United Kingdom

About this Event

York Pride is the largest LGBT+ event in North Yorkshire and one of the first big Prides of the English summer. The day starts with a parade through the city centre that heads out along Bishopthorpe Road to the Knavesmire, the open grassland south of the centre better known for York's racecourse.

The festival on the Knavesmire has a main stage and a cabaret stage, a Pride marketplace with traders and food stalls, a family area and a quiet tent for anyone who needs a break from the noise. Entry to the festival is free.

The site is a large grass field and not completely level. The organisers lay trackway across parts of it and show the main stage on big screens. York station is within walking distance of both the city centre and the Knavesmire, and the roads around the parade route get busy, so arriving by train is the easy option.
