The Cross at Croscombe is a bed and breakfast in a 15th-century building in the village of Croscombe, a couple of miles from Wells in Somerset. It takes its name from the market cross standing outside and was previously a public house. There are five individually designed en suite rooms with king-size beds: Chew, suited to families; Mells, a ground-floor room with its own kitchenette; Yeo and Brue for couples; and Sheppey, a deluxe double.
The dining room has oak beams, flagstones and an inglenook fireplace, and there is a lounge and a courtyard garden with an electric vehicle charging point. The whole house can be booked exclusively, on a bed and breakfast, half board or self-catering basis, sleeping up to fourteen. Wells Cathedral, Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole and Longleat Safari Park are all a short drive away.
