In 2027 Southampton hosts UK Pride, the national Pride that the UK Pride Organisers Network awards to a different town each year, and it is the first time the city has held it. Southampton Pride, the city's own organisation, runs the weekend, and Prides and community groups from across the country come to march with it.
The weekend centres on a national Pride march through the city centre, with drag artists and musicians on stage. In recent years Southampton's march has set off from Queens Park, passed under the medieval Bargate and ended at Guildhall Square, where the main stage stands.
The organisers use the Bargate in the 2027 logo, wrapped in Pride colours.
