About this Event
Reading Pride has been going since 2003 and its parade and festival take over King's Meadow, the riverside park a short walk from Reading station. The parade sets off from outside the station and winds through the town centre before arriving at the meadow, where the festival opens.
The site is spread across several stages, with a main stage, a dance area, an over-18s enclosure and a separate family area. There is a funfair, an inclusive sports area, a quiet zone for anyone who needs one, and a market of food, drink and stalls run by local groups and organisations.
Entry is free and the whole thing is run by volunteers, so donations are collected at the gate. Bags are checked on the way in. Water and soft drinks in sealed bottles are fine, glass, alcohol and aerosols are not, and dogs are welcome on a lead.
