The Swallow is an LGBTQ+ bar and show venue on Bretonside, at the edge of the Barbican in Plymouth. It calls itself Plymouth's original LGBTQ+ bar, and it has been a gay pub for decades. It closed in late 2025 and has since reopened after a refurbishment as a speakeasy-style show bar.
There is a stage, and the programme runs from drag cabaret and Drag Race screenings to karaoke, DJs, live music, bingo, quizzes, pool and student nights. It works as a relaxed pub earlier on and as a show bar at night.
The bar describes itself as proudly queer and open to anyone who is decent to others.
