Loft NR1 calls itself Norwich's leading LGBT+ nightclub. It occupies a converted building on Rose Lane, with a nightclub floor, a lounge and a terrace, and a rainbow flag hangs across the front of the building.
The club runs on a regular weekly rhythm of dance nights with resident and guest DJs, aimed mainly at a student and younger crowd, with themed events around the university term such as its Freshers nights. A queue and door staff are a normal sight outside on club nights.
