The Rembrandt is a corner building on Sackville Street holding three things at once. REM Bar has the ground floor, Club Tropicana is the basement nightclub, and REM Hotel occupies the top floor.
REM Bar calls itself Canal Street's original gay bar. It is a traditional pub room, refurbished in black and silver, and the regulars include bears and men in leather. Weekend entertainment is drag, live singers and karaoke, and tapas is served. It was named J W Lees Pub of the Year in 2023.
The hotel has six en-suite double rooms directly above the bar, which puts guests in the middle of the Village with no walk home at all.
