G-A-Y Manchester is the northern outpost of the G-A-Y chain, on Richmond Street with its entrance round the corner towards Canal Street, which catches people out.
It runs over three floors and has a rooftop terrace. Music is chart pop, drinks are cheap and the crowd is young. It is the most straightforwardly commercial venue in the Village and it stays busy at the end of the night, when other places have emptied.
