West London Queer Project Summer Boat Party 2026

The West London Queer Project's boat party sails from Richmond, well upriver from the stretch of Thames most visitors ever see. It is the group's annual summer event and the one thing on their calendar that reliably sells out.

The boat is a closed party with a bar and a DJ, and the crowd is the west London LGBTQ+ community rather than a club crowd shipped in from the centre. That makes it an unusually easy room to walk into alone. Boarding is at the Richmond Landing Stage beside Richmond Bridge, a short walk downhill from Richmond station.

Once the boat leaves there is no joining it, so the organiser asks people to be at the stage well ahead of departure. Richmond itself is worth arriving early for.
