West London Queer Project 6th Birthday Street Party

The West London Queer Project runs the LGBTQ+ scene out west, well away from Soho and Vauxhall, and this street party marks its sixth year. It takes over Old Market Place in Chiswick with a main stage, stalls and live acts.

The earlier half of the day is programmed for families and children, and the stage acts follow once that winds down. Entry is free, with a pay what you can option for anyone who wants to put something in.

Chiswick is on the District line and a short train from Waterloo. For a visitor who only ever sees the Soho and Vauxhall version of queer London, this is a much more local one, and a street party is an easier place to talk to people than a club.
