RVT Sports Day 2026

RVT Sports Day is a charity fundraiser run by the LGBTQ+ health organisation LGBT HERO together with the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, and it has been going since 2007. It takes place on the green behind the pub, in Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens.

The events are school sports day events played entirely straight faced: egg and spoon, sack race, tug of war, three legged race, handbag toss, a relay, and a fifty metre drag race. Teams enter in advance and fundraise for the charity, and there is a cabaret host on the mic throughout. Cabaret continues in the pub afterwards.

Watching costs nothing and there is no ticket, with donations collected on the ground. It is outdoors on grass, so it depends entirely on the weather, and Vauxhall station is a few minutes away.
