VFD is a small basement on Stoke Newington Road, opened as Vogue Fabrics and still called that by most people. It is closer to an arts space than a bar, and the room is tiny, which is the whole character of it.

The programme moves between club nights that run very late, drag, spoken word, life drawing, performance and cabaret. It also runs The Outsiders Gallery, showing work by artists outside the usual gallery route, so the space is in use during the day as well.

This is not a drop-in venue. What happens there depends entirely on who has the room that night, so look up the listing before going.
