The Yard sits back from Rupert Street down a short passage, which gives it the one thing almost no other Soho bar has: an open courtyard. It is heated, and it is where most people end up drinking whatever the season.
Upstairs there is a balconied loft bar looking down into the yard, quieter than the ground floor and used for groups and bookings. The interior is exposed brick and timber beams.
It is independent rather than part of a chain, and walk-ins are welcome. Karaoke and DJ nights run through the week.
