Four Oaks is a two-room bed and breakfast in a self-contained annexe of an architect-designed timber and stone house, in a rural glen a short drive from Oban town centre and the ferry terminal to the islands. Both the Hazel Room and the Willow Room are en-suite doubles with their own outside deck, looking out towards Ben Cruachan.
Guests have their own entrance and come and go as they like once checked in, with a shared sitting room, a coffee machine and binoculars and a bird book for spotting the wildlife on the surrounding land. The house is heavily insulated and runs on an air source heat pump powered by solar and renewable electricity. It is on National Cycle Network 78, the Caledonia Way, and welcomes cyclists with secure overnight storage for bikes.
Breakfast is cooked to order, with a full Scottish option alongside lighter and dietary alternatives. The B&B does not take children, babies or pets.
