The Pipeworks

The Pipeworks is Glasgow's only gay sauna and the largest in Scotland, tucked into Metropole Lane at the edge of the Merchant City. It runs over three floors and reopened after a substantial refurbishment in 2019.

The middle floor holds reception, the lockers and a licensed cafe bar, along with a steam room sized for twenty five and a spa pool for thirty. The top floor is the cruising end: a maze with rest areas, darkened spaces, public and private theme rooms, a dry sauna and a TV lounge. The ground floor has the premium cabins and a cinema room.

It is men only, and it describes itself as a gay health and leisure club. There is a second Pipeworks in Leeds under the same name, so check which one you are looking at.
