Exeter Pride is the city's Pride day, held each May. A march goes through the city centre, carrying a giant rainbow flag some fifty metres long, and the festival afterwards spreads across the city's gardens with an outdoor stage, community groups, food and market stalls.
It calls itself one of the biggest free Pride events in the country, and entry is free.
It began in 2008 as a small event during LGBT History Month and held its first march in 2010. Since 2017 the festival has used Northernhay Gardens alongside Rougemont Gardens, which is what gave it an outdoor stage.
