The Street stands where Broughton Street meets Picardy Place and has been open since 2004. Bar and kitchen run at street level, with a club in the basement.
The music deliberately steers around chart pop. Disco, funk, acid jazz and mellower house are the usual territory, which makes this the more alternative address among the Pink Triangle venues.
The kitchen runs through the day, and the cocktail list is why a lot of people arrive early. The basement club is a weekend operation with its own DJs.
