CC Blooms has been on Greenside Place since 1994 and is the oldest gay venue still running in the city. It works as two things at once: a bar and restaurant at street level, a nightclub in the room below.
Upstairs does brunch and cocktails, including a vegan list the bar added for 2026. Drag is a fixture here rather than an occasional booking. Downstairs is free to get into and plays chart pop and dance.
The venue sits at the top of Leith Street, a few minutes from Waverley station and at the edge of the area known locally as the Pink Triangle. During the Fringe it takes comedy bookings as well, so the August programme looks different from the rest of the year.
