The Brighton Box is an LGBTQ+-owned gallery and gift shop on Dukes Lane, in the middle of the Lanes shopping streets rather than out in Kemptown. It opened in 2020 and sells original and collectable art alongside prints and gifts.
The stock leans on artists working in and around Brighton, which makes it a better place to find something of the city than the souvenir shops on the seafront. Prices run from small prints upwards, and the gallery also does art rental and takes commissions.
There is an events programme, and local drag performers host at the gallery from time to time, which is not how most galleries spend their evenings.
