Legends sits on the Kemptown seafront with a wide terrace facing the Channel and the Palace Pier. Big windows run along the front of the bar, so it works as a cafe and a place to sit with a coffee by day, and turns into a busy bar once the lights go down.

Cabaret is the draw. Drag artists and singers work the stage regularly, and the Sunday shows have been running for years. Downstairs, the Basement Club is a separate late-night room with resident DJs and a dance floor, and it fills up well after the bar upstairs does.

There are 40 bedrooms above the venue, which makes this the rare Brighton address where the bar, the club and the hotel are the same building. Free WiFi throughout, and the kitchen does a traditional Sunday roast.
