Hamilton Hall is a men-only, clothing-optional hotel in Springbourne, about half an hour's walk east of the Triangle and ten minutes from the beach. It calls itself the only venue of its kind in the country, and nothing comparable turns up anywhere else in Bournemouth.
Clothing is optional throughout the whole building, bedrooms, common rooms and garden alike, and the house rules are explicit that being undressed is not an invitation. Guests are asked to sit on their own towel and to leave other people alone. The tone the place aims at is a retreat rather than a party hotel, and it is open to gay, bisexual, straight and trans men.
Six bedrooms, breakfast included, dinner available. Alongside ordinary stays it runs a programme of themed weekends and workshops, some of them frankly sexual and some closer to group work. It has been open since 2000, dogs are welcome, and bookings are taken by phone and email only.
