Fireball opened in October 2025 at 4 The Triangle, the address that was the Xchange for years, and it is the newest of Bournemouth's gay venues. The refit was thorough enough that people who knew the old room describe it as a different place rather than a rebrand.
It works as a bar early and a club later. The music runs to house, speed garage and bassline, there are drag and cabaret nights, guest DJs come in on a monthly cycle, and a weekly singalong has already turned into a fixture. It calls itself an LGBTQIA+ venue, and the crowd is mixed and noticeably local.
The rest of the Triangle's bars are a minute's walk in either direction, so Fireball tends to be one stop of several rather than the whole evening.
