Pride Bar calls itself Bournemouth's LGBTQ+ community bar, and the programme backs the word up. Alongside the drinking there is bingo, drag and tribute cabaret, brunches, and a wine club that meets as a social rather than as a tasting.
It opened on The Triangle in 2023 and sits a few doors from the other bars, which makes it the easy one to start an evening in. Tables can be booked, which is unusual on this street and useful for a group.
The room is small and gets loud when a show is on. The crowd skews local and a little older than the clubs further along, and the bar makes a point of being somewhere to sit and talk as much as somewhere to drink.
