Bodmin Pride is one of the town Prides that Cornwall Pride, the county's LGBTQ+ charity, runs across Cornwall each year. The day starts with a march through the town centre carrying a giant rainbow flag, from the west end of Lower Bore Street along Fore Street and Turf Street to the Priory car park.
The march is short, about half an hour, and the celebration on Priory Lawn begins as soon as it arrives. There is live music, comedy, drag and cabaret, a stage aimed at families, and a bar for over-18s that runs all day. Support groups have tents on the lawn, and there is a quiet space for anyone who needs a break from the noise.
Entry is free and nobody needs a ticket, so it works as a first Pride for people who have never been to one.
