The Flying Handbag is a gay bar on Queen Street, a short walk from Blackpool North station. It opened in 1994 and calls itself Blackpool's only purpose-built LGBTQ+ venue.
The main room has a long bar with a purple-lit front, a busy back bar and a dance floor, and outside there is a sun terrace and a heated smoking area. It has wheelchair access and a late licence.
The programme is drag hosts, resident DJs, karaoke and quiz nights, and the kitchen serves food. Regulars can join a free rewards club.
