Equator is a small independent bar in the middle of the Hurst Street strip, run by the same family for over twenty years. It works as a cafe in the daytime and a cocktail bar in the evening.
The inside is done in slatted wood and round mirrors, with plants, velvet seating, a gilded Buddha head and a neon sign reading Love is Love. There are tables out on the street. It is the quiet option on a street of loud ones, calmer midweek and busier at the weekend.
The bar also takes private hire and puts on its own events.
