Eden is a cabaret and club bar on the corner of Gooch Street and Sherlock Street, at the southern end of Birmingham's Gay Village. It began in 2008 near the same spot, spent years at Holloway Circus, and reopened here in 2025 after a full refurbishment.
The building is large for a village bar. Two floors, three bars, a rear chill-out room, a garden with its own stage, a big roof terrace and a basement vault used for one-off nights. There is a pool table, a pinball machine and a photo booth. The upstairs space is run as The Hub and takes comedy, community nights and hire.
Programming is drag-led, with cabaret, themed nights, quizzes and screening nights on the big screen. Hot food is served. The crowd is mixed and the bar makes a point of being open to everyone rather than to gay men alone.
