About this Event
Basildon Pride Festival runs in Gloucester Park, on the Sporting Village side of it, and the day opens with a march from Basildon town centre out to the site. Entry is free and there is no ticket to arrange.
On the ground there is a main entertainment programme of drag and tribute acts, a family area, a large marketplace of stalls and a set of education and support stands. A free shuttle bus runs from the town centre for anyone not walking the thirty minutes.
There are bag searches at the entrances, and outside alcohol, glass and BBQs are turned away. The charity behind the festival runs year-round groups in the borough as well, including social evenings and a trans group.
