Cranberry opened on Metzgergasse in the autumn of 1997 and has been part of Zurich's queer nightlife ever since. It is a cocktail bar before anything else, and the drinks list is what it is known for.
The bar runs over two levels. The Campari Room upstairs was rebuilt in 2021, with new decor and new facilities.
The bar puts its own line on the crowd: gays and friends. It sits a few minutes from the Niederdorf in the middle of the old town, which makes it an easy first stop before the clubs, and it fills up at weekends.
