Sauna les Avanchets sits out in Vernier, between Geneva airport and the Balexert shopping centre, and is reachable on public transport rather than only by car. It is a large place, and the plainest thing to know about it is who it is for: the sauna is mixed every day except Sunday, which is men only. Its own front page says exactly that, in French and English.
Inside there is a dry sauna, a steam room and a jacuzzi, along with a cinema room, a maze and cabins. The lighting is ultraviolet and the decoration commits to it fully, so the place reads more as a club than as a spa.
It is the sauna Geneva sends people to when they want somewhere with room to move rather than somewhere central.
