Le Déclic has been open on Boulevard du Pont-d'Arve since 1988, which makes it the longest-running gay bar in Geneva. It sits in Plainpalais next to the university buildings, so the room mixes regulars who have been coming for decades with students from Uni Mail.
It calls itself a cocktail bar and most of what is on the list is its own invention. Karaoke is the other draw, sung to a giant screen with a catalogue running to thousands of titles.
The room is small and the decoration is dense: fairy lights, a plaster bust of David behind the bar, posters layered over posters. Trams and buses stop at Pont-d'Arve directly outside.
